MInecraft just crashes when trying to load up or create a world

I expected the game to load up my world as usual

What actually happened was it crashed and closed

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load minecraft
2. Click singleplayer
3. Click load a world
4. comes up with loading, building terrain...
5. Crashes
