Invisible lava.

So I was making lava shaft thing, going straight down. The whole thing was full of lava, I had fire resist and night vision, and i built a line of blocks across the shaft. When I stood under those blocks, with my head right up against them, all the lava around me became invisible, until I left that exact spot.
