Minecraft Will Not Launch. Keep getting error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main

Recently, while launching minecraft I get this error:
Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release

I've uninstalled minecraft and installed it to have the problem repeat. I deleted the .minecraft folder and installed again to the same problem. I repeated this, along with uninstalling and reinstalling java to no avail. I've restarted my computer etc. Every time I try to launch minecraft it loads for a while and I get the error above.
