My Servers Don't show and my client crashed when ever I load a Single player game

What I expected to happen was...:
Join a server, Join my single player world

What actually happened was...:

None of my Servers showed up and when I selected my single player world when it was loading it crashed. This happened in 1.8 and 1.7.10 but these were the only versions I tried

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Loaded up game
2. Join my single player world
3. client/game crashed
