Arrow keys inserting invisible characters on signs (OS X)

To reproduce:

• Place a sign
• Enter some text on the first line
• Hit the down arrow to switch to the second line
• Hit the up arrow to go back to the first line
• Hit backspace, nothing happens - only when hitting backspace again or typing something before will backspace work

Note that this also affects the left/right arrows.
