Wont load 1.8.

Whenever i try to play on ANY 1.8 version it says "ready to download and play" and whenever i click play nothing happens it just stays in the home screen , so i cant play on any of the new servers also whenever im in 1.7.10 whenever i log off or refresh it deletes all of the servers that i put on
