Giving a skull with an invalid player Id crashes the game

creating an invalid skull with a give command containing an invalid player id, eg abcdefg-hijk-lmnopqr-stuv-wxyz will crash the game

give command:

/give @p skull 1 3 {display:{Name:""},SkullOwner:{Id:"abcdefg-hijk-lmnopqr-stuv-wxyz",Properties:{textures:[{Value:""}]}}}

Unknown if it affects multiplayer or setblock commands.
