Minecraft won't launch on Oracle Solaris

So I tried to launch minecraft on a Sun/Oracle Solaris workstation, and it failes to launch, this appears to be an issue with the launcher because selecting MC alpha, Beta, or any version of release causes this to happen. LWJGL failed to initalize, because apparently there is something weird with the way it loads that. I have attached the crash log below. This is on a Intel X86 based system btw
