Unable to connect to any minecraft server

So i was making a server for my friends and had already created one before but i opened it and no one could connect so i attempted downloading all the things you need to make a server again and deleted my other port forward as i thought maybe that was the problem so i just made another port forward so when i opened my server my friends were able to join but i wasn't i am also not able to connect to any server i have deleted my port forwards and searched for a way to fix this i have had no luck yet it has been like this for around a week now please help.
