1.8.3 settings/server bug

Launching Minecraft 1.8.3 causes settings and controls to be reset to defaults. Also upon launch, the information in the server direct connect and the entire server list are erased. This happens every time I start Minecraft into 1.8.3, but not 1.8.2 or 1.8.
