EnderDragon Glitching throught blocks but not destroying them

When using /summon Enderdragon in the over-world it will fly through blocks (Grass wood stone etc.) But not destroy them like its supposed to. I unfornatlycant get a screenshot cause the enderdragon flys to fast. I dont know what else to say.
