Hardcore death glitch

I died on hardcore, and I tried to delete world but it instead redirected me to the main menu. I went back to the world list and found the hardcore world I had still on the list. I tried to delete it form there and the background glitched (It showed the exact same screen as the death screen earlier). The world was deleted but them I tried to make a new world and the same screen showed up again. This issue was gone after I restarted minecraft. I wonder if this was just my computer or is it a in-game bug. Can you guys please check it, thanks!
