Enchants greyed out with required level (or more than required)

I was playing around with 1.8, and I decided to enchant. When I got 32 levels and enchanted in survival, the bug occured.
It affects ALL 1.8 versions (1.8, 1.8.1, 1.8.2, and 1.8.3)

What I expected to happen was...:
I was expecting the enchants to the right to not be greyed out, and the middle enchant slot to have text.

What actually happened was...:
All enchants were greyed out.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get any enchantable item
2. Get an enchanting table
3. Get a few levels
4. Try to enchant.
