I am unable to access servers, preferably because of a name change

I have recently changed my username on Minecraft pc edition from Auror0831 to Auror. I then tried to access a server and an error message appeared that said: Failed to connect with the server-not Authenticated with Minecraft.net.
Minecraft.net, however, sais that my authentication services are working just fine
Should I just change my name back at the end of the thirty day period?
