leads and leash nots not rendering when animal is leashed to fence

I attempted to leash a pig to a spruce wood fence, and the leash not did not appear and nether did the rope, but the pig still acted like it was leashed to the fence. And when attempting to click the pig with a lead while still "ghost" leashed to the fence , the rop would render but the pig did not actually react to it.
