internal exception java.io.IOException: an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

When I play on any minecraft server I get: internal exception java.io.IOException: an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
I was told that it is a java error from the server dropping my ip. I don't know if this info is true or not. I have looked everywhere and couldn't find out why or how this is happening.
