Entering Invalid (In Range, No Associated Block) Metadata Value in /fill Gives Unknown Error

Command: /fill ~-10 ~-10 ~-10 ~10 ~10 ~10 minecraft:log2 14 replace minecraft:log2 0

This produces an unknown error, but it should be an invalid damage value error. minecraft:log2 14 technically exists, but is not a block recognized by the game or commands (Like, you could get that block with MCEdit but not with the /setblock command, similar to things like fire)
