When i go to the nether and back blocks disapear in the overworld

I went to the nether and when i came back i noticed some on my book shelves were missing, so i put more down and went to the nether again. the same thing happened. i took this video but it stopped doing it. sorry i dont have any proof but i promise you it is happening.
