not allowing me to craft from crafting table and on the screen where it shows you the blocks your using when I select one to use the one I select is not the one showing on the screen

First off when i look up my verison of pe its v0.10.5 alpha but it says thats not right supposively that version does not exist so looking into it further iam guesing here but i think its supposed to be 1.8.1 and maybe thats what the issue is i did not get the update but what it is doing when i play is its Not letting me use my crafting table,the block iam selecting to use are not the block showing up on the screen a different block appears

I expceted to use the crafting table i made to craft thing and also expceted to us the blocks iam selecting

When I made my crafting table then sat it down on the ground it would not let me open it to use it and when I select a block to use and I go to use it a different block appears

Steps to Reproduce:
1. ... I made a crafting table, and selected blocks I wanted to build with
2. ...I sat my crafting table down on the ground,and selected the block I wanted to start with
3. ...it would not allow the crafting table to open up to craft it lit up acknowledging I clicked on it but would not open even if I had nothing in my hand,and when I go to use the block I selected and I lay one down a completely different block appears as in I select a cobble stone block I go to lay it down and a tourch appears but not just with the cobble stone if I select a tourch to use and I put it down a dirt block appears.
