Mouse problems

I am having a mouse problem with in the game. I have a wireless USB HP mouse that I have used for years. I just got a new computer about 4 months ago and loaded minecraft onto just in December. When I am playing the game the left mouse button doesn't do anything. The right mouse button does what it is suppose to do. I changed the controls to swop the 2 buttons and got the same result. Anything I put on the left mouse button doesn't work. I tried changing batteries, new wireless mouse, and a new wired mouse and I still have the same effects. I updated the drivers on my mouse and uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft a few times. Can you please help?
