Zombies clitching through the wall...

my buddy and I are playing on our Realm server.
the problems we are having is that mobs are spawning random in the house (not dark in there) cuz we have villagers in the 2nd floor...i don't mind them standing outside the house or knocking on my steel door...but i really wanna be safe in my own house without them glutting through the wall.
