Creepers, Skeletons and Witches won't walk off high platforms to reach the player

Through rather tedious testing, I have noticed that all mobs, except the mentioned ones above, will take fall damage to reach the player. These three mobs used to take fall damage if the player was fleeing from them, but now they do not. They were all at full health, and the difficulty was hard.
