When I exit a nether portal, you end up outside the frame of its counterpart.

When I exit a nether portal, I come out in the other dimension but outside the portal frame not inside.

I expected to come through the nether portal and still be in the frame of the portal.

I came out of the nether portal and I was outside the portal frame and was falling into lava.
