New World level bug

Good evening - since I've updated, whenever I generate a new world (survival, bonus chest on, no other options changed) it loads fine, but my character loads and begins to jitter about in the square, like he's trapped in a block. I'm still able to remove blocks, but my character cannot move at all, and continues to jump up and down. Problem can be solved by digging away the dirt onto which I spawned. Has occurred 3 times in succession since I updated, whether exiting then loading up worlds again, or starting a new world altogether.

What I expected to happen was...:
Enter newly created world and start hiding from zombies

What actually happened was...:
Entered newly created world and found myself stuck inside an invisible block

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new world (Survival, Bonus Chest on)
2. Spawn character into the world
3. Get stuck jittering about the screen as if I were inside a block
