Previous Output in command blocks is non-existent for some commands run.

Some Commands enter through a command block (successful only) don't provide any previous output.
As you can see by the screenshot attached, the command block was successful in saying hi, but it gave "previous output"
when they are run unsuccessfully I am given an error message, but when the command is reentered correctly, the same error message remains.
