Hopper facing wrongly

Running a multiplayer server from 1.8. Had an auto chicken cooker. Hoopers were "chained downward and into a dispenser. After upgrading to 1.8.1 on my server, all the hoppers in that auto cooker were facing downward causing my cooker to not function correctly.
