Whenever I try to log into a world or server on 1.7.2, my minecraft crashes.

My minecraft crashes whenever I attempt to join a server OR single player world in minecraft 1.7.2

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought I would join said world or server and be able to play.

What actually happened was...:
My minecraft crashed and told me the problem was, "ticking screen".

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log on to minecraft 1.7.2
2. Attempt to join a server or single player world
3.Minecraft crashes
