daylight sensors set on the night setting will still power red stone lamps during the day

when i put the daylight sensors on the red stone lamp i switched the sensor to detect the dark
,but the daylight sensor still gave off a red stone signal powering the red stone lamp during the day
Steps to Reproduce:
-place a daylight sensor on top or next to a red stone lamp during the day
-right click the sensor to change it to detect darkness
-then the red stone lamp should still be powered
