Command blocks outputing a signal in PosZ+NegZ Direction

What I expected to happen was...:
The command blocks to output a signal with the say command or a comparator to activate.

What actually happened was...:
I was messing with a compartaor clock to constantly activate command blocks, but relized that in the Negz+posX. That the command blocks doesn't get any signal even though the redstone is facing strait in to it, But NegX+PosZ works fine. Picture will be shown.

Steps to Reproduce:

1.Place a comparator clock and start it
2. then place restone from that straight into a command block with a Say command or Comparator testing for a command facing NegZ and PosX from the clock its self. Like The picture shows. Forgot If you update the command block it will out put what you want.
