Everytime I try to join a server it keeps crashing the game.

What I expected to happen was...:
Should been able to join servers without crashing

What actually happened was...:
crash on instant server join

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Switch from Minecraft 1.8 to 1.7.10 or lower
