Exiting a minecart / boat can put the player outside the border

I know this sounds similar to MC-53444 but that is going out of the world border by riding a minecart outside of the border. This can be done all within the border, without anything but survival mode. I'm surprised this bug wasn't already posted here. I searched for if there is any beforehand.
