Neather fence connecting to fence gates

When you place a neather brick fence down then if it is near a fence gate it looks like it wants to connect but the fence gates dont let it connect.Also it affects the Minecraft 1.8.1 pre-1 and the Minecraft 1.8.1 pre-2
