missing textures for new 1.5 blocks and items

since snapshot 13w02b the textures of redstone blocks, all the different quartz and everything else added since 1.4.7 have a blank texture with the text "missing texture"

i opened the .jar and checked through the texture files and they all appeared to be there. To try and remedy the problem i copied all the texture files into a folder in my textuurepacks folder. When i selected it as a texture pack the issue persisted. Howveer the TNT cart and activator track and trapped chest all have the right texture
