I cannot craft different items, achievements met but do not show as achieved

I try to craft things like books and nothing happens. I have also tried to craft pressure tracks and again nothing happens.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open craft table
2. ...place paper in coloum
3. ...Nothing appears in the crafted window
