My android can't send messages

Hi,whenever I type my message and press 'Next' to send it,the message doesn't send.Nothing happens.
This is affecting me very badly as I play with a friend on a server.When he allies with someone else,I follow them,and my friend's ally attacks me,thinking I'm an enemy.However,because I cannot type,I cannot tell him that I am a friend of my friend.
