Verification email

I was starting to make an account for a friend so that she could play minecraft, but when i made the account it came up with a message about a email to verify the account. I know this is normal so i got my friend to check her email. She replied to me telling me that no email had come. This was yesterday and today there is still no email.
I have checked and double checked that the email is correct yet it still doesn't work.
Please help me if this isn't a bug. Or if it is please fix this.
