Log in Bug

When i try to log into 1.8 Mine craft it starts out good but then on the bottom it says downloading and logging in and the the launcher flashes out like when it does when its about to start the game but then the launcher just pops up again i really need help i can play on 1.7.10 and lower but not 1.8
