Game consistently crashes without any pattern

Minecraft keeps crashing with the error in the attached screenshot. It does not show any symptoms beforehand (such as lag or visual artifacts). It happens randomly (in different saves, after different amounts of time, at different settings combinations etc.) but consistently (almost every time I play, usually from 5 minutes to 5 hours in). It doesn't happen in any other games.
