no hostile mobs will spawn on my realms account

at night in the my realm hostile monsters will not spawn i have made sure the in the configuration button that monster spawn it on and i have the game mode set to hardcore and i have tried it on every difficulty setting there is i even tried putting the realm in mini game mode and playing that for a min and then putting it back to my realm and still no hostile monsters. animals spawn just fine.
