Backward compatibility issue 1.8 - 1.7.2

Loading a world with 1.7.2 after opening it with 1.8 causes all paintings and frames to fall off the walls (the item inside is lost), signs to display quotes around text and "null" on lines without text, and all written and signed books disappear from chests.
