Game Takes A Long Time to Load and Does Not load Past 1st Render

What I expected to happen was...:
that minecraft would load my survival mode world features in order to interact with other blocks

What actually happened was...:
Game Renders Once and Provides No Ability For Interaction Between the player and the world. When my world "Kendallville" is loaded, the screen backtracks to the main menu despite still loading the world and takes about 30 seconds to load the world

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select singleplayer
2. select world file
3. Observe load time after about 30 seconds
