Minecraft's Sound isn't working

Ive tried many things but the problem is the same. Minecraft has no sound; I've tried reopening, YouTube, Googling, and F3+s. As well as the other keys. I also tried to go back to 1.7.10, not only that I made multiple new profiles and checked to see if there were a file for sound I didn't see one, if there is one. I also tried re-downloading. I'm on OS (mac) downloaded from Firefox. This was not a problem 2 days ago. Thanks

I thought after all of that it'll work. Instead nothing occurred. But I'm going to stress that I haven't seen a file for sound even after going to old and newer versions; including re-downloading.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download Minecraft from site
2. Open from applications
3. sign in
4. Click Play Now
5. Loaded and Sound isn't welcomed sadly. lol
