you can't set repeaters down with a command block.

Well I am making a machine that I invented in 1.8 and I need the command block to be able to set a repeater down but it says it doesn't recognize it and I even went onto the Minecraft wiki to check if I spelled it right, I did and for some reason it still won't work. and it still doesn't work in 1.8 release
