Minecraft 1.8-pre3 Trading Bug

I was in a creative world, on version 1.8-pre3, and I right-clicked a villager, the way you'd trade with them, and the trading "menu" opens and closes almost instantly. I know that it works properly in 1.7.2-1.7.5, but from what I've seen it doesn't work in 1.8-pre3.
