Game freezing after trying to respawn in hardcore-mode

I was playing in hardcore-mode in Minecraft 1.8 pre_3. When you die, your only option is to delete the world. After pressing the "Delete World" button i ended up in a menu with two buttons: "Main Menu" and "Respawn". Upon pressing respawn, the game took me back to the "Delete World" button (witch i wasn't able to press) and froze!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start a new world in hardcore-mode
2. Die in hardcore-mode
3. Press the "Delete world"-button
4. Press the "Respawn"-button
5. Game freezes.
