Player Head Middle click(even with ctrl) gives the normal head

Middle clicking on a specific player head (created by /give playername skull 1 3

{SkullOwner:playername}

doesn't give you the head.I tried ctrl+middle clicking but it didnt work either.They both just gave me the normal minecraft steve minecraft:Head.
P.S.:I tested on pre1 but im pretty sure it also does it on the other snapshots but im not very sure
