I cant get my Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.9.0 to update from a 0.8.0 version

I can't get it to update from the last version of 0.8.0 versions to 0.9.0 on Minecraft Pocket Edition on my android tablet. I need to know what the problem is and how to get it to update to the latest version.
