TNT cart does not go on to the track when released out of dispenser

I put a TNT cart in a dispenser, then i placed a track in front of it, i put a button on the dispenser, then i pressed the button and it shot out the TNT cart as an item instead of putting it on the track. I repeated it with a normal cart which worked like it was supposed to.

Also the dispenser looks like a furnace and in the inventory they both are facing kinda backwards.
