Creepers target Iron Golems before being provoked resulting in mass mobgrief

I keep hearing Creeper explosions over my base and it's because Creeper seem to be attempting to kill Iron Golems. I understand Golems are now suppose to kill Creepers, but Creeper are actually walking up and exploding to kill Iron Golems and it just results in destruction.
