Snapshot White-list glitch

I have been trying to join servers in snapshots, I've tried 14w31 through 14w34, but every single time I try to join a server it says "You are not white-listed on this server!" I have specifically joined servers that say "no whitelist" and they all claim to be public and open with many users online.
